Because I’ll never get over how gorgeous this ring looks on my finger! :)
It was so extraordinarily fun! && We got so much free stuff, it’s insane!
Before we went, we had to stop by Smiths because I was feeling sick. I ended up picking up not only cold/allergy medicine, but hair, skin, and nails vitamins, a small notebook, gum, and a protein drink for breakfast! Haha. It seems as though I can never buy just one thing. I love spending money too much.
But anyways… These are the vitamins I bought. I’m hoping that they will help my hair grow faster and keep my nails strong and my skin healthy and whatnot. I really want my hair to grow faster and be healthier for the wedding. So for the next month I will be taking 2 of these a day and then evaluating how I think that they worked. I’ll probably buy different kinds every month until the wedding unless I find one that I feel works better than the others.

But yeah… At the Bridal Extavaganza, they had over 130 different vendors for EVERYTHING you need to plan a wedding! && They were all doing give-aways and coupons and sales.
Some places even gave out free planners and books full of vendors that are close by!

I entered into 50+ giveaways, so I’m hoping that I can win at least one. Some of them are more for me than anything else (like the teeth whitening and spa stuff), but others would be really nice for the wedding (like $500 worth of flowers).
This week I need to make appointments to go see a few more venues (Cactus & Tropicals and Tuscany). But I’m pretty sure I still want to stick with The Castle. My dress was chosen mainly for that spiral staircase and I absolutely love that The Castle is in Layton so it’s in the middle of where all of our guests are. Plus, it’s just absolutely gorgeous and it’s not too pricey.

Also… Wesley’s grandmother is paying for my full dress.
I don’t know what to say besides Thank You a million times.
I’m in shock.
It’s not the dress from David’s Bridal though. Which was $600 plus $200 for alterations plus $200 for slip/bra/unembellished veil. A total of $1,000. Not including shoes and jewelry and whatnot. All of that needed to be paid at one time to order in my dress and still get somewhat of a good deal (10% off of accessories purchased at same time).
When I went dress shopping today, I found one at Fantasy Bridal for $750, but we can make payments for each month. Which is good because I can’t afford to do just one payment right now. Plus they were having a special sale that included my slip, veil, a bag to hold the dress and a cleaning/steaming for free as long as I bought the dress on my first visit! The slip is normally $60. The veil, $110. The bag, $270. The cleaning, $80. All I need is to add a bustle and hem the ends, which they do specially there for a lot cheaper than David’s Bridal too, so MAYBE $100. Tops. For all the alterations. Total value was almost $1500 for the bargain price of $1,000! WOOHOO! :)
So I saved a wooping $500! All I need is my shoes and bra. && I’m kinda thinking that with this dress, I won’t need a real bra. I don’t have enough boobs. Haha.
I need to have the full dress paid off before they start alterations, so that gives me 3 months to pay the rest which is $737.92. About $250 a month.
Also, I have these little referral card things… I fill them out and give them to anyone I know that is getting married. If I get 3 people to buy their dress at Fantasy Bridal, I get $50 back and they get $50 off of their dress! If I get 6 people to buy thier dress at Fantasy Bridal, I get $100 back. && If I happen to get 8 people to buy their dress at Fantasy Bridal, I get 100% of my money back on my dress!!! Not including alterations and tax. But frankly, that’s like $200 TOPS and that’s amazing for a wedding dress. Haha. :)
I’m so happy.
I would love to be able to incorporate roses into our cake.
But it’s so cliche’…
&& Fake flowers look shitty.
&& Real flowers are expensive and not edible.
